Is LA or NYC the place for you? (Business edition)

I get the question of, “Which place do you like better, LA or NY?”

Please, bare with me, I am Los Angeles BORN & RAISED.

However, I like to think that after college is over I will make the big switch to the East Coast, why? Here are a few reasons:

1.)   Pace – I love fast paced cities. I feel like I am always on the go. Whether I’m running, studying, working, I stay active. New York provides me with something to do every day without feeling bored.

2.)   Opportunities – I’m currently working on projects that will require me to spend a significant amount of time in New York for at least 4 or 5 months out of the year, and well, when business calls for me – I answer!

3.)   The Crowd – I HATE how Los Angeles is always perceived to have snotty residents that all live in Beverly Hills and have a contact book full of “frenemies” and it’s #nottrue. LA “kids” are waaaay different than New York kids. How? Well, in Los Angeles it’s all about WHO you know. In New York it’s all about WHAT you have. There are so many types of people to meet in NYC.

4.)   Weirdness is appreciated - I will admit LA can be superficial at times but so can every place. Unlike LA, NY is eclectic. It is not uncommon to be half naked at a subway stop but it’d definitely be buzz worthy on the Hollywood Walk of Fame (Alright, bad example but – you get the point)
